A Little About Miss Holiday Swing

Miss Holiday Swing, or Holly as she’s more commonly known amongst Family and Friends, first “trod the boards” at the tender age of five. Smiling, giggling and waving intensely to her parents in the audience, she had caught the Showbiz bug!
Holly continued to perform throughout her early years and teens before going to university to study Musical Theatre, first at Northbrook College in Sussex, and then at The American Musical Theatre Academy of London.
Her love of all things vintage first began when she formed part of a vocal harmony trio. These ladies entertained audiences up and down the country and even France! They were lucky enough to perform at events such as ‘Salute to the 40’s’, the ‘War and Peace Show’ and the ‘Twinwood Festival’. So when this period in her life ended, Holly was left with an extensive knowledge of Lindy Hopping, had gained a skill in Victory Rolls, and had a retro wardrobe to die for!
Thus came the birth of ‘Miss Holiday Swing’! Delighting audiences all over the country and the Seven Seas, having just returned from entertaining on the German Cruise Line, Aida.
So with a performing background of more than 20 years and a taste for authentic vintage style, Miss Holiday Swing will be the perfect addition to any event, adding a touch of glamour and nostalgia.

She was very professional, a very good singer, and looked the part. I think the land army girls loved it and to be honest so did I. I would highly recommend Miss Holiday Swing to anyone having a 40s themed event and I hope she will come back in September for our county show!

  • Miss Holiday Swing performed at my 40’s style birthday picnic and definitely made the day. Amazing voice and fab choice of songs helped everyone get into the 1940’s party spirit. My mum in particular was bopping and jiving throughout. Thanks for making my 30th birthday perfect!

I’d like to say thank you very much  to ‘Miss Holiday Swing’ for performing at our WLA reunion on the 16th August. A very professional and excellent performer, greatly appreciated by all who attended. Your excellent renditions of classic songs certainly made the day extra special for all our ‘Girls’! I also had the pleasure of seeing and hearing you perform at the ‘Love Life Fest’ at Hythe on 22nd August, another polished performance! We at the Romney Marsh Wartime Collection look forward to your next appearance at our ‘Brenzett Bygones’ Country Show on 20th September.
