FAQ's

Here are a some common questions I get asked that may help with your own queries before booking!

What sort of set lengths do you offer?

The minimum set length I perform is 45 minutes. The most commonly booked, however, is 2 x 45 minute sets. Other options available are:
2 x 1 Hour sets
3 x 45 Minute Sets
3 x 1 Hour Sets
All of which can be broken down as you wish! For example, 4 x 30 minute sets

Do you supply your own PA?

Yes!  This is always included at no extra cost to you. I  have various different set ups that cater for small functions and bigger events. I even have a battery operated system that allows me to play outside, or in any little cubby hole, without needing to be plugged into mains power! Perfect for weddings and moving from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dining room.

Can you play background music in between your sets?

Absolutely! Although, it is worth noting that I am not a DJ. I am more than happy to play background music before I start & in between my sets. The music will be based on the occasion in hand & the style of music you've chosen to book.
I am lucky to know some fab DJ's though, so, if this is something you'd like and want some recommendations, I'd be happy to help :)

Do you take requests?

Yes, most definitely! Especially for weddings. I am more than happy to learn a song that's special to you to sing you down the aisle or whilst you're signing the register. I can even send you snippets if you're struggling to decide on something and want to hear how it sounds?!
But in general, for any event or occasion, I do take requests. It's best to send them through to me beforehand but should it be on the night, rule goes "if I know it, I'll sing it!"

Can you perform with a band or live musician?

I am delighted to say that I now have my own band! Miss Holiday & The Swingtones are now available for bookings. Made up of Sax, Drums, Bass, Piano & Vocals (of course), this 5 piece will add that extra special touch at your event! Find our more about us HERE.
Have a strict or tight budget but still want that live music element? I work with some brilliant musicians so why not add a pianist or guitarist to your booking, elevating your entertainment but keeps the costs down. This is a fab option for weddings!
